Everything just seems so predetermined and there are so few mechanics that require you to react. I remember when I just started raiding in e5s I thought it was pretty cool (especially the positioning required to break the lightning poles) but after a while it got repetitive. What I mean by this is 90% of the mechanics boils down to cards/intercards, rotate CW/CCW, stack/spread, towers, tethers, knockback and tank buster. I've been raiding Mythic WoW for over a decade now and made the jump to the FF14 during 5.2 so my raid experience in this game is limited to the two recent savage tiers.īased on my experience, FF14 just seems so limited in its raid mechanics.
